Cloud computing (CC) has been used in several industries and domains. However, the use of CC in governmental organization is still limited. The purpose of this study is to examine the CC usage among governmental organizations in Saudi Arabia. The population of this study are Information technology (IT) professionals working for governmental organizations in Saudi Arabia. Purposive sampling was used to collect the data from the respondents. The questionnaire was distributed, and 211 valid responses were collected. The analysis was conducted using Smart PLS 4.0. The findings showed that perceived usefulness (PU), perceived ease of use (PEOU), external influence, security but not privacy have significant effects on CC usage. The findings also showed that technological readiness moderated the effect of PU, external influence, and security on CC usage. Decision makers are recommended to enhance the perception of the benefit of CC and conduct more training courses to ease the usage of CC.

The main goal of this work is to propose a novel compartmental SEA (Susceptible–Exposed–Attacked) model to simulate malware spreading on an IoT (Internet of Things) network. This is a deterministic and individual-based model, whose main novelty compared to others lies in the used of continuous mathematical techniques, such as ordinary differential equations, in the description of local transition rules that define the changes of the states of the devices. These states are given by probability vectors representing the probabilities of being susceptible, exposed and attacked at each step of time. The qualitative study of the model is presented, and several simulations are performed.

With the rise and rapid development of the network, security issues cannot be ignored. At the same time, the hardware Trojan horse to the security of the chip caused a threat. Therefore, for the detection of hardware Trojan horse in the chip, we propose a hardware Trojan horse detection method based on Fisher discriminant analysis. This method combines the discrimination ability and uses Fisher classification algorithm to extract the small difference between information, so as to realize the detection of hardware Trojan horse. However, in practice, the interference of data and the area of Trojan horse will affect the discrimination results. We conduct discriminant analysis on the number of sample chips. The analysis shows that the proposed method can effectively detect hardware Trojan horse to verify the effectiveness of the method.
