“…The salt basin in this area was preceded by a basin of carbonate sedimentation, when numerous isolated carbonate massifs were formed, widespread throughout Central Asia [8]. Salt accumulation in the second half of the Permian period was halted by the invasion of red-colored rocks, which also occurred over a wide area [9][10][11]. In this paper, we fill this gap in the research through our analysis of the reasons for the formation of the salt basin on the territory of the Caspian depression in the Kungurian time at the end of the Early Permian epoch.…”
