Abstract:In this minireview studies performed in man are mainly summarized and the data obtained interpreted with the help of knowledge gained in previous animal and in vitro experiments. From all those results the picture of a rather tight interplay between renal prostaglandins, renin-angiotensin, aldosterone, and antidiuretic hormone (ADH) emerges, whereby renal prostaglandins synthesis appears to be partially regulated by angiotensin II and ADH; renal prostaglandins antagonize the biological effects of these peptide… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
