“…6 On ultrasound, cornual pregnancies may be seen as a gestational sac or an eccentric heterogenous mass in the cornual region. 8 An echogenic line extending into the center of the interstitial gestational sac or a thin myometrium of <5 mm surrounding the gestational sac may also be seen. 8 The majority of heterotopic pregnancies are treated surgically with both laparoscopic and abdominal approaches having been described.…”

“…About 75-80% of EPs occur in ampullary portion, 10-15% in isthmic portion, and about 5% in the fimbrial end of the Fallopian tube [19]. The tubal EP can be diagnosed by a transvaginal ultrasound scan (TVS) and implies an intact Fallopian tube with a pregnancy that is likely to be growing and visualized as an inhomogeneous mass that might well be a collapsed sac, which contains trophoblastic tissue [20].…”

“…Ultrasonic criteria for the diagnosis include an empty uterine cavity, a gestational sac separate from the uterine cavity, and a myometrial thinning of less than 5 mm around the gestational sac; typically the interstitial line signan echogenic line from the endometrial cavity to the corner next to the gestational mass is seen. MRI can be used particularly when it is important to distinguish between an interstitial and angular pregnancy [5].…”
