Abstract:Background: The interventricular septum has an important role in bi-ventricular performance. We hypothesized that septal involvement in apical hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (ApHCM-Mixed) adversely impacts ventricular structure and function when compared with isolated apical hypertrophy (ApHCM-Pure).
