Intraband Absorption Due to Alloy Scattering in Lead Chalcogenide Semiconductors

Abstract

Free carrier absorption allowed by the chemical disorder is calculated for lead chalcogenide mixed semiconductors. It is found that the absorption due to the intervalley transitions may be greater than that due to the intravalley transitions.Es wird die Absorption freier Trager fur gemischte Halbleiter aus Bleichalogeniden berechnet, die durch das Vorhandensein von chemischer Unordnung entsteht. Es wird festgestellt, daB die durch die Intertalubergange verursachte Absorption gro13er ist als diejenige, die infolge Intratalubergangen zustande kommt.
