Intracellular FITC-derivatization with PEG

Abstract: In order to investigate the amino acids (AAs) in plant cells, we explore an avenue for intracellular derivatization with FITC. In this method, FITC was used to mark AAs in living protoplasts derived from embryogenic calli of common wheat (Triticum aestivum L. c.v. Jinan 177) mediated by PEG. After FITC-derivatization, the AAs in the lysate were determined by CE.
