Intractable Pain and Diplopia After Scleral Buckle Surgery

Abstract: Supplemental Digital Content is Available in the Text.A 54-year-old woman presented with painful diplopia after a pars plana vitrectomy and scleral buckle procedure. Examination revealed restricted ocular motilities and abnormal forced ductions. Surgical exploration revealed anterior displacement of the buckle and dehisced thin scleral belt loop tunnels. Diplopia and pain resolved after removing the buckle.
