“…e above studies have found that mathematical analysis is conducive to understand the patients' conditions of emergency temporary cardiac pacing and clarify the Bioinorganic Chemistry and Applications relationship between various physical indicators. Such an analysis was used to establish a biological model of the heart block in the study of Cingolani et al [14] and real-time tracking of intrathoracic impedance sensors in the study of DeArmond et al [15]. Similarly, Carson and Tseng [16] performed regression analysis on various indicators of ECG of patients.…”

“…We recently described a sensor capable of detecting the loss of parietal-to-visceral pleural apposition continuously in real-time in the setting of active pleural air leak, a concern of thoracic surgeons after major pulmonary resection. 1 The sensor was based on introducing a biologically validated low electrical current over the surface of the lung via electrodes embedded in a chest tube. In the presence of pleural air leak, when chest tube suction was adequate to maintain pleural apposition, the electrodes remained in contact with the lung and current flowed with low, or “in-range,” electrical impedance.…”

“…Pigs (n = 3) under general anesthesia had two 28 French chest tubes placed into the right pleural space. 1 The Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee approved this study. One chest tube directed posteriorly was connected to a thoracoscopy insufflation port to mimic pulmonary air leak.…”
