Introduction to moduli, l-adic representations and the Regular Version of the Inverse Galois Problem
Michael D. Fried
Abstract:There are two famous Abel Theorems. The more well-known, describes the "abelian (analytic) functions" on a one dimensional compact complex torus. The other bundles those complex tori, with their prime degree isogenies. Riemann's generalization of the first features his famous Θ functions. His deepest work aimed to generalize Abel's second theorem, though he died too young to fulfill that vision.

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
