“…The Clark technique is an auxiliary strategy in the differential diagnosis between external and internal resorption; if the resorption is internal, the radiographic relationship between the root canal and the resorption cavity is not altered even if the horizontal angulation is modified, as opposed to external resorption, in which modification can be observed. 25 Initially in the treatment of external cervical resorption, it is possible to use glass ionomer cement as a sealant. After six months of treatment, if in the control evaluation, the asymptomatic patient is observed; as well as in the present case, we proceeded to surgical exposure and curettage of the lesion, and the cavity was sealed with glass ionomer and the restoration was performed with composite resin.…”

“…This feature and the appearance of knife-edge cavity borders are important in the differential diagnosis with root caries in which the lesions are soft due to proteolytic enzymatic degradation. 1 ICR is associated with inflammation of the periodontal tissues and does not have pulpal involvement until late in the process. 2 In the present case, the lesion had enveloped the root canal.…”

“…1 The use of Calcium hydroxide has been recommended to help dissolve residual pulp tissue inaccessible to chemo mechanical debridement, eliminate microorganisms, and inactivate toxic products. 7 The use of 90% trichloroacetic acid is proven in inducing coagulation necrosis of the resorptive lesions, whereas the adjacent tissues remain free of inflammation.…”
