In Europe, P. ramorum has been observed in more than 23 countries, including Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, the UK, Norway, Switzerland, Greece, and Croatia ( Redlin et al, 2014 ). In California, since the first observation of pathogen occurrence in 1995, P. ramorum has proliferated in the forest systems of California, Oregon, and Washington along a 1,500 km stretch of forests located in the Pacific side of the region, as well as in the nursery systems of 23 states.…”
