Abstract-This work presents the modelling of grid connected renewable energy systems. This system consists of photovoltaic system, dc-dc converter, battery and grid interface inverter. The maximum power from the PV system is extracted using Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) controller. The power extracted from solar PV array is transferred to the grid interface inverter by keeping common dc voltage constant. Sinusoidal Pulse Width Modulation (SPWM) technique is used for generating pulses for inverter. The simulation results of solar photovoltaic system, MPP algorithm, MPPT are presented. The simulation study is carried out using MATLAB.
