Abstract: Mitochondrial dysfunction may precipitate intestinal dysfunction, while inflammatory bowel disease manifests as a chronic inflammatory ailment affecting the gastrointestinal tract. This condition disrupts the barrier function of the intestinal epithelium and alters metabolic products.
