Investigation on Integrated Digital Platform of High Power Converter with Power Factor Correction for Formed Aluminium Foil

Abstract

Aluminum foil industry is the high energy-consuming industry. In order to realize energy saving, green and environmental protection, this paper presents an integrated topology for low-voltage and high-current aluminum forming foil power supply. This is characterized by the use of pre-PFC circuit to improve power factor, to provide a stable DC voltage on phase-shifted full-bridge soft-switching DC/DC converter to reduce design difficult and synchronous rectification to improve the low-voltage high-current power supply system power density and efficiency. This paper focuses on the design of the 28027-based digital control system and its software system. It uses SPI to implement communications of two 28027 to enhance the control performance of the system. The 650W prototype demonstrates advantages of digital control. Test data are shown that the digital development platform has the advantages of high efficiency and high-power factor.
