“…Spark sources with thyratron control, described by Bardoóz (11,12,14), are reported to be especially useful for studies of time-resolved spectra (17) in which triggering of the discharge and observation of the spectrum by means of a rotating mirror control provides resolution of 1 microsecond. Use of a selected portion of the discharge is an advantage in improving sensitivity of detection of the elements (16).…”
