Abstract:A straightforward and efficient method has been developed to access a variety of benzothiazole derivatives via cascade reductive annulation. Iodine mediated, one‐pot three‐component reaction of o‐chloronitroarenes, aryl aldehydes, and elemental sulfur effectively produce benzothiazoles.
