IoT Technology for Smart Water System

Abstract: A serious drop in ensuring the water quality in the distribution system is a factor that affects public health. This could lead to increase in biological and non-biological contents, change in colour and odour of the water. These contaminants cause a serious threat to the whole water ecosystem. The conventional methods of analyzing the water quality require much time and labour. So there is a need to monitor and protect the water with a real time water quality monitoring system in order to make active measurem… Show more

“…It is the actual physical layer and has a heterogeneous category of sensors for detecting actual conditions of the environment. For sustainable energy management, the perception layer can be coupled with solar panels, piezoelectric, electromagnetic and thermoelectric harvesting techniques (Varsha & Wu 2018). (ii) The network layer is a transport layer, which transports the acquired data from source nodes to sink nodes using wireless communications.…”

“…The work done by Narendran et al [19] shows the empirical water management technique based on IoT, which computerizes the water allocation, storage, and regulation of water waste. The work of Radhakrishnan and Wu [20] discusses the IoT technology for the smart water technique. The study also demonstrates design, applications for IoT using water management technique.…”
