Abstract:Because of the combined attractive features of iron as a sustainable catalyst and of CH functionalization, over the past several decades the chemistry of iron‐catalyzed CH functionalization has attracted much attention and is growing rapidly. This article briefly introduces the recent emergence of iron‐catalyzed enantioselective CH functionalization reactions that have been achieved by controlling the reactivity and coordination environment of active iron species by chiral ligands.

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
