Abstract:Low-valent transition-metal diazenido species are important intermediates in transition-metal-mediated dinitrogen reduction reactions. Isolable complexes of the type unanimously feature closed-shell diazenido ligands. Those bearing open-shell diazenido ligands have remained elusive.
