Abstract: Background: In childhood supracondylar fractures of the humerus, fixation with percutaneous Kirschner wire is the standard treatment. In the case of irreducible–unstable fractures, these can be defined as fractures in which reduction is not well-achieved or in which fixation cannot be achieved with the K-wire.
