Abstract: This paper examines the relationship between the citizens' level of digital skills and the level of country development. Country development is measured by the Gross National Income per capita (GNI p.c.), while the level of digital skills is measured by the World Economic Forum. Prevalence and intervention strategies of health misinformation among older adults: A meta-analysis

The rapid expansion of the Internet and social media has intensified the spread of health misinformation, posing significant risks, especially for older adults. This meta-analysis synthesizes evidence on the prevalence and interventions of health misinformation among older adults. Our findings reveal a high prevalence rate of 47% (95% CI [33%, 60%]), surpassing recent estimates. Offline research settings have a higher prevalence of health misinformation. Despite methodological variances, the prevalence remains consistent across different measures and development levels. Interventions show significant effectiveness (Hedges’ g = 0.76, 95% CI [0.25, 1.26]), with graphic-based approaches outperforming video-based ones. These results underscore the urgent need for tailored, large-scale interventions to mitigate the adverse impacts of health misinformation on older adults. Further research should focus on refining intervention strategies and extending studies to underrepresented regions and populations.

Research background: Digitalization and the associated digital divide are crucial issues impacting socio-economic development globally. Extensive research has examined digitalization and the digital divide in EU countries, but there is a lack of understanding regarding comparisons with studies conducted in Western Balkan countries. This study investigates digitalization trends in research from the past five years in both regions, focusing on efforts and factors contributing to the digital gap. Purpose of the article: The study analyzes research on digitalization from 2018 to 2023 in the EU and Western Balkans. It explores factors causing the digital divide and efforts in digitalization, aiming to guide future research and policy for digital inclusion and sustainable development. Methods: The study employs a meticulous data selection process, choosing Scopus as the database for its extensive coverage of diverse journals. A total of 1119 articles from EU countries and 277 from Western Balkan countries are selected for bibliometric analysis, adhering to PRISMA guidelines. Findings & value added: The research reveals a growing interest in digitalization-related issues, demonstrating the multidisciplinary nature of ongoing research. It points out the distribution of publications on digitalization in the EU and Western Balkans countries. The EU focuses on digital technologies, economic growth, and sustainability, while Western Balkan countries focus on COVID-19 impact and digitalization in education and business. The research compares digitalization efforts in the EU and Western Balkan countries presented in the literature, pointing to new dimensions of the digital divide studies. It discusses how socio-economic contexts affect digital transformation and stresses the need for tailored policy approaches for digital inclusivity. These insights are of great importance for policymakers, researchers, and practitioners working towards global digital development and bridging the digital divide. The study lays the groundwork for future research and policy considerations, considering limitations like potential bias in databases and search criteria.

In the modern world, children are growing up surrounded by digital technologies which are used spontaneously and intuitively. It is necessary to choose an appropriate methodological approach that supports interdisciplinary and cooperative work directed towards problem-solving and the development of children's creativity in order to create conducive conditions for the well-being of children in an educational environment supported by technology. This paper aims to construct a methodical model for the effective implementation of educational robots to develop algorithmic thinking in preschool children. The research is based on theoretical foundations, with arguments drawn from practice. Analytical-deductive and hypothetical-deductive methods were applied, as well as the method of modeling, through which was developed an innovative methodical approach (five-step model), based on research conducted for an unpublished master's thesis (Matović, 2022). The results indicate that the five-step model can contribute to the effective implementation of educational robots in educational work, encourage algorithmic thinking, interdisciplinary skills, and the development of competencies significant for lifelong learning (communication, self-reflection, planning).
