Abstract:Ischemic stroke is a leading cause of death and disability worldwide. Mutations in several candidate genes involving angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) and methylenetetrahydrofolate reductase (MTHFR) gene have been found to be associated with ischemic stroke.
