Abstract:INTRODUCTION. Hypoaldosteronism is characterized by hyperkalemia, and/or hypovolemic hyponatremia (HH), often accompanied by metabolic acidosis. HH is typical of hypoaldosteronism, whereas euvolemic hyponatremia (EH) is not.
