Isolation and characterization of squamous carcinoma cells resistant to photodynamic therapy

Abstract: Photodynamic therapy (PDT) employing methyl δ-aminolevulinic acid (Me-ALA), as a precursor of the photosensitizer protoporphyrin IX (PpIX), is used for the treatment of non melanoma cutaneous cancer (NMCC).
