Isoxazolines inhibit GABA‐gated chloride ion channels in arthropods, with lesser but significant inhibition of glutamate‐gated chloride channels, and have both insecticidal and acaricidal activity . Because glutamate‐gated chloride channels are also the target of avermectins, it is reasonable to infer that isoxazolines would be effective in treating demodicosis in dogs.…”
