The digital transformation (DT) implies designing products and services, to which digital technology is applied, that are adopted and used by customers. However, if people do not accept the new technologies embedded in the innovative products and services, DT will fail. Therefore, getting to know the determinant factors that affect acceptance is necessary, especially during economic turmoil that requires companies to become even more competitive. Moreover, Romania is lagging behind in its digital progress. The aim of this research is to draw upon a previous study on successful DT, analyze personal and social acceptance factors, and empirically verify whether they would affect DT in Romania. We identified from the literature the main factors (behavioral and innovative characteristics) affecting the DT acceptance attitude and adapted the theoretical model to the Romanian context. The study collected data from 123 persons using an online questionnaire and applied a structural equation model to test the theoretical model. The empirical results emphasize that the acceptance attitude of DT is positively associated with individuals’ behavioral factors and innovative characteristics. Moreover, DT acceptance attitude positively impacts both personal and social acceptance of DT. This research provides both theoretical and empirical contributions by adapting the theoretical DT model and testing it for the Romanian context, using personal and social acceptance. These findings are important for managers and policy makers that seek to transform their organizations.

The rapid advancement of digital technology causes fierce competition from digital-born companies to the incumbent ones, so they need to accelerate their digital transformation (DT). Prior research has found the influence of IT governance (ITG) mechanisms on organizational performance. (OP), mediated by DT. However, there is a need to identify the prioritized IT services management initiatives to support their DT. This case study is performed in BankCo using Design Science Research (DSR) and the latest ISACA’s framework of COBIT 2019 Governance & Management Objectives (GMO). The solution and implementation roadmap results are analyzed and designed based on interviews data and documents triangulation. There are three important initiatives BankCo namely DSS05 Managed Security Service, BAI06 Managed IT Changes, and BAI04 Managed Availability and Capacity. The estimated solution implementation increased BankCo’s maturity to 3.XY. This research contributes to the knowledge base regarding IT service management prioritization and provides practical implications for BankCo to enhance their DT, and the banking industry in general.

The emergence of emerging technology disruptions, changes in stakeholder behavior towards digital, coupled with the Covid-19 pandemic has forced various incumbent organizations to transform digitally (TD). There are still many investments related to TD that fail to achieve the expected expectations due to the alleged lack of good governance implementation. Previous studies have examined the significant role of information technology (IT) on organizational performance. However, it is suspected that traditional IT Governance (TKTI) practices are not necessarily effective in the digital era. Only a few have examined the effect of IT governance (TKTI) on TD, and no one has examined the effect of TD on organizational performance (KO). Therefore, this study aimed to validate the effect of hybrid TKTI mechanisms (traditional and agile/adaptive) on TD, as well as the effect of TD on knockouts and their performance achievements through a balanced scorecard (BSC) perspective. The research method used is a survey by distributing Likert-scale online questionnaires to 11 roles related to BP in Asuransi B and succeeded in getting 50 relevant respondents. Data from the results of filling out the questionnaire were analyzed with the help of SmartPLS 3.0 tools. The test is carried out using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with a formative model, in the form of testing the inner model and outer model. The test results of this study indicate that both traditional and agile/adaptive TKTI mechanisms have a significant positive effect on BP. Then TD also proved to have a significant positive effect on KO. This research contributes to the knowledge base for further research on related topics, and can be an implementation reference to oversee the success of TD for practitioners, especially in the context of the insurance industry
