This study aims to identify quality improvement strategies for energy investments. For this purpose, a model is proposed which includes 4 different stages. In the first stage, the MCDM problem is identified for evaluating the service development for energy industry. In this framework, quality function deployment (QFD) approach is taken into consideration which includes both customer expectations and technical requirements at the same time to improve the quality in the organization. The second stage is related to the calculation of the correlation coefficients of decision matrices for the criteria by considering hesitant 2-tuple interval-valued Pythagorean fuzzy sets. The third stage includes the weighting of the customer expectations with hesitant 2-tuple interval-valued Pythagorean fuzzy (HIVPF) DEMATEL. In the final stage, TRIZ-based quality improvement strategies of energy investments are ranked by using 2-tuple HIVPF TOPSIS. Thus, the motivation of this study is to figure out the weights of the criteria for quality improvement strategies in energy investments. Also, the most important contribution of this study to the literature is related to the originality in the methodology by proposing a new MCDM model while using hesitant linguistic term sets, linguistic 2-tuple information, interval-valued Pythagorean fuzzy sets properly. The findings indicate that empathy is the most significant criterion for the customer expectations in the energy investments. In addition to this issue, it is also identified that customization is the best factor among the technical requirements of energy investments. Moreover, information and communication facilities and organizational background are found as the best competencies of new service development in energy investments. Furthermore, that prior action and periodic action are the most prominent strategies for quality improvement. While considering these results, it can be said that the pricing policy of the energy companies should be fair to increase customer satisfaction. Additionally, offering flexible payment opportunities on energy bills can have a positive influence on the customer satisfaction in this process. Also, preliminary planning of the project should be done in detail in energy investments. Owing to this issue, customers' preferences can be identified before the product is placed on the market. In addition, it can be possible to identify the risks that may arise in energy investments with the help of the periodical audits.

The purpose of this study is to determine the issues that financial institutions should pay attention to in their decision to provide financing to large scale energy projects. Within this framework, taking into account the Balanced Scorecard (BSC) approach, 4 dimensions and 8 criteria that can be effective in these decisions of financial institutions were determined. After that, the importance weights of these dimensions and criteria were determined by interval type-2 (IT2) fuzzy DEMATEL method. In addition, 3 different types of banks (public, private, foreign) are listed for their performance in financing energy projects. According to the results of the analysis, the technological and financial adequacy of the company that will invest in energy is the issue that financial institutions should pay the most attention to in their credit decision. Therefore, it is important for financial institutions to visit the customer's location and pay attention to the technological adequacy in the process of evaluating the customer's demand for credit for a large-scale energy project. In addition, it would be appropriate not to provide this fund to the energy companies with high indebtedness and insufficient liquidity. Another result of the study is that state banks have the lowest performance in financing these large-scale energy projects. When this result is taken into consideration, state banks need to pay more attention in evaluating large-scale energy projects in order to avoid major losses.

: The purpose of the study is to evaluate the sustainable energy investments based on house of quality. For that, a hybrid decision-making approach to interval type 2 (IT2) fuzzy sets under the hesitancy is proposed. The novelties of the study are to construct an integrated IT2-based modelling and a set of dimensions and criteria for the sustainable energy investments for the emerging countries. The DEMATEL method is used for weighting the customer expectations of sustainable energy investments. The TOPSIS method is applied for ranking the house-of-quality-based investment policies with the technical requirements for the emerging economies. The results show that the capacity issue of energy industry is the most prominent issue for the technical requirements of energy investments. However, it is concluded that increasing communication with the capacity facilities is the most valuable strategy based on the house of quality evaluation. The results are also discussed for further studies and sustainable policies.
