ITRAQ-based quantitative proteomic analysis of Fusarium moniliforme (Fusarium verticillioides) in response to Phloridzin inducers

Abstract: Background Apple replant disease (ARD) has been reported from all major fruit-growing regions of the world, and is often caused by biotic factors (pathogen fungi) and abiotic factors (phenolic compounds). In order to clarify the proteomic differences of Fusarium moniliforme under the action of phloridzin, and to explore the potential mechanism of F. moniliforme as the pathogen of ARD, the role of Fusarium spp. in ARD was further clarified. Methods … Show more

“…The software PEAKS Studio (Bioinformatics Solution Inc., Waterloo, Canada) version 8.5 was used for tandem mass spectra for proteomic analysis. PEAKS DB was established to examine uniprotproteome_UP000009096 databases (17,877 entries) presumptuous trypsin as the digestion system [ 34 ]. PEAKS DB were searched with a fragrant ion mass tolerance of 0.05 Da and a parent ion tolerance of 10 ppm.…”

“…In HILEP, the whole and mature plants are labeled with a stable isotope such as 15 N. Zhang et al [89] later used HILEP combined with phosphopeptide enrichment to study the phosphorylation events in auxin signaling in lateral root induction of Arabidopsis. The isobaric tag for relative and absolute quantitation (iTRAQ) is another label-based method that is used in plant proteomics [90], pathogen proteomics [91], and plant-pathogen interaction analysis [92]. One of the advantages of iTRAQ compared to HILEP is that iTRAQ allows for 4 or 8 comparisons, while HILEP is suitable for pair-wise comparisons [87].…”
