Abstract:Naturally reductive spaces in general can be seen as an adequate generalization of symmetric spaces. Nevertheless there are non-symmetric naturally reductive spaces whose geometric properties come closer to symmetric spaces than others. We consider a distinguished class of non-symmetric naturally reductive spaces intimately related to special geometries in dimension six and seven. For this class we establish the following property: along every geodesic the Jacobi operator satisfies an ordinary differential equ… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
