Joint Transmit-and-Receive Antenna Selection System for MIMO-NOMA With Energy Harvesting

Abstract: In this paper, outage probability (OP) of a joint transmit and receive antenna selection (JTRAS) scheme is analyzed in multiple-input multiple-output non-orthogonal multiple access based downlink energy harvesting (EH) relaying networks. In this dual-hop and amplify-andforward relaying based network, since the first and second hops are types of single-user and multi-user systems, respectively, the optimal JTRAS and suboptimal majority-based JTRAS schemes are employed in the first and second hops. The theoretic… Show more

“…In contrast, to utilize multiple relays [34,35], [37] considered the case of multiple D2 destinations in which only one is selected to support the D1 destination. The authors of [38] and [39] extended the work of [28] to include multiple destinations. However, [27,30,[33][34][35][36][37][38][39] analyzed the system performance for the lEH case.…”

As an alternative relaying method, an intelligent reflecting surface was used as a relay to forward data from Site S to D1 and D2 [40][41][42].…”

“…Some highly essential requirements such as massive connectivity, high data rates, low latency as well as high reliability enforce the novel technologies to support applications in a considerably more favourable manner as entailed as possible. Traditionally, orthogonal multiple access (OMA) techniques are applied in order to guarantee a zero interference in scenarios where it is totally difficult to multiplex users solely in the space domain [1], [2], [3], [4]. The use of non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA) is highly inevitable which can accommodate multiple users via the same resource block, since the former schemes may fail in spectral efficiency and latency as the number of users increases and they are not ideal for ultra-dense deployments [1], [2], [3], [4].…”
