July month's vertical mean dew-point profile over New Delhi and its use in determination of the amount of precipitable water

Abstract: SummaryThe monsoon month of July has been chosen for the present study over New Delhi. The best fit vertical mean dew.point profiles, over the station, have been computed. The mean dew-point values at various desired levels have been taken from these profiles to calculate the mixing ratios there. Solot's method has been used to calculate the mean amount of precipitable water with the help of these mixing ratio values.
