Abstract:Kernelized eigenvoice methods, which apply a nonlinear transform in speaker space, have previously been proposed for rapid adaptation. This paper examines, and addresses, a number of limitations and issues with the current schemes. First, the requirements for valid probability functions using kernel representations are discussed. Second, rapid speaker adaptation using these forms of representations is analyzed and the general update formulae for kernelized eigenvoice adaptation derived. The existing kernelized… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
