Abstract:Lungs and kidneys are distant organs which are functionally related in physiological and pathological contexts. Acute lung injury (ALI) or acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS) are common complications in acute kidney injury (AKI) or acute-on-chronic kidney disease.
