Kidney transplantation with concomitant simple nephrectomy by thoracoabdominal approach for patients with huge autosomal dominant polycystic kidney disease (ADPKD): A case report

Abstract: Autosomal dominant polycystic kidney disease (ADPKD) is a common inherited kidney disease with growing multiple cyst formation. We report here a huge ADPKD case of kidney transplantation concomitant with simple nephrectomy through thoracoabdominal approach that allows surgeons to manipulate the renal vessels, the adrenal grand, the trigonal ligament, and the lower pole of the kidney under the wide operative field.
