Soccer is the most popular sport in the world. Expectedly, the incidence of soccer-related injuries is high and these injuries exert a significant burden on individuals and families, including health and financial burdens, and on the socioeconomic and healthcare systems. Using established injury prevention frameworks, we present a concise synthesis of the most recent scientific evidence regarding injury rates, characteristics, mechanisms, risk and protective factors, interventions for prevention, and implementation of interventions in soccer. In this umbrella review, we elucidate the most recent available evidence gleaned primarily from systematic reviews and meta-analyses. Further, we express the exigent need to move current soccer injury prevention research evidence into action for improved player outcomes and widespread impact through increased attention to dissemination and implementation research. Additionally, we highlight the importance of an enabling context and effective implementation strategies for the successful integration of evidence-based injury prevention programs into real-world soccer settings. This narrative umbrella review provides guidance to inform future research, practice, and policy towards reducing injuries among soccer players.

Introduction. Soccer is the most popular sport in the world. As a contact sport it has a high risk and incidence of injuries, which most often affect the lower limb. For the player to recover it is neessary to attend to well planned rehabilitation.Purpose. Analyzing the most common injuries among people practicing soccer and determining the role of rehabilitation in the treatment of these injuries. Material and methods.The research group was 101 individuals, 88 male and 13 female who played soccer as amateurs or professionals, aged 10 to 45 and had been training for a minimum of 2 years.Results. There were 487 injuries in total among all respondents, of which 370 were related to the lower limb and 117 to the upper body. Contussions and ankle sprains were the most common injuries. Every single preson included in the studies suffered from injury, but only 75.2% of them went to see a doctor after the incident and only 56,4% attended 66 rehabilitation. Statistical significance has been present in the time to return to sports depending on the continuation of physical exertion after the injury, in the time to return to sport due to treatment or the lack of it, in the time to return to sports in relation to whether or not rehabilitation took place for patients with serious injury. Conclusion.The most common sports injuries in soccer are lower limb injuries, including damage to muscles and tendons. Recovery time is related to the type of injury, treatment options and rehabilitation methods. People practicing soccer should monitor their training loads with a physiotherapist. This can reduce the amount of problems later in career or daily life.

The knee joint is a complex biomechanical system, where the complexity of structure determines pathology variety, difficulties in treatment and rehabilitation. The conservative treatment possibilities of the ligamentous apparatus injuries of a knee are the subject of our discussion. Purpose of the study is to analyze the prevalence of knee traumatic injuries and modern ideas about the conservative treatment possibility of these injuries. Ligamentous apparatus injury of a knee joint is a common one, especially among athletes, with different mechanisms of knee injuries characteristic of different sports. Injuries of the lateral collateral ligament must be diagnosed in a timely manner in order to determine the possibilities of conservative and / or surgical treatment. Failure to recognize the injury details can lead instability and poor results to a knee after ligament reconstruction. Proponents of conservative treatment tactics provide evidence that non-operative treating of the ligaments also gives good results. The complex structure of a knee joint and a large number of variants of its damage impose a special responsibility on traumatologists-rehabilitologists, who are engaged in the restoration of its functions. The question of the choice between surgical restoration or conservative treatment of acute BCS injuries of knee joints remains open and depends on the specific situation, but in each case, rehabilitation measures are required, on the timeliness and adequacy of which the patient's quality of life will depend on.
