Nowadays countries in the world are striving to transform their economic and social development modes to achieve the general goal of green development. With the rapid development of communication technology, digitalization has affected production and life, touching all aspects of society. Can digitalization make the world “greener”? To this end, this study conducts an empirical research based on the panel data of 276 cities in China from 2011 to 2020. Firstly, this paper separately measured the comprehensive level of urban digitalization and urban greening through the Entropy-TOPSIS method, then analyzed their spatial distribution characteristics and evolution process respectively, finally used the spatial Durbin model to explore the impact of digitalization on urban greening development. The following conclusions were drawn accordingly: (1). The development pattern of urban digitalization has changed from “multi-point” sporadic distribution to “group-type” aggregation with obvious spatial heterogeneity. The gap between cities is not narrowing. The Yangtze River Delta urban agglomeration has become an important high-level digital agglomeration area; (2). The urban greening develops with obvious spatial heterogeneity. The difference between eastern regions and western regions is prominent, and the urban spatial agglomeration characteristic is distinct. However, the spillover effect is weakened with distance, while the convergence characteristic becomes obvious; (3). Digitalization is significantly beneficial to the development of urban greening with obvious spatial heterogeneity. Digitalization in cities within urban agglomeration and in eastern regions has a stronger effect on promoting the urban greening, which is not obvious in cities located in western regions and non-urban agglomeration. Finally, according to the research results, suggestions for urban digitalization and greening development are put forward.

Contemporary knowledge is transforming to information and takes specific features in order to participate in a constant development, moving and converting to informational floods. I argue that in the new informational epistemology the relation between subject and object are changing. The character of Knowledge is interdisciplinary. The consequence of such tendency in modern science is accent varying from result of scientific discovery to the process. Now it is important to know how, in what way scientists extract scientific result. Knowledge is break up into informational flows, which “get tangled”, “flash” and “pulsate”. The cognitive management is presented in this paper as a tool for knowledge use in constantly changing informational floods. Administrative mechanism of knowledge management made accent on placing emphasis on procedural learning tools, adapts process of mastering by knowledge for conditions and requirements of a modern information age. New character of cognitive processes is caused by the new informative means which have appeared together with the Internet, e-mail and system of mass communication. The purpose of this paper is to analyse the relationship between eco-innovation process and knowledge management (KM) from the perspective of tools and practices, in the initial stages of the product development process. Knowledge management can help to develop behaviours and practices that stimulate green knowledge and improve organisations’ eco-innovation performance. The analysis of the relationship between eco-innovation process and knowledge management in the initial stages of the product development process was performed using three tools: the Standard Design Process Form (SDPS), The STRETCH Methodology and the Product Ideas Tree (PIT) Diagram. The results show that the eco-innovation tools contribute significantly to the creation of knowledge in the early stages of the product development process, as evidenced in the selection of the best ideas and in the reduction of uncertainties on environmental and market opportunities.
