Abstract:KIDSpec, the Kinetic Inductance Detector Spectrometer, is a proposed optical to near IR Microwave Kinetic Inductance Detector (MKID) spectrograph. MKIDs are superconducting photon counting detectors which are able to resolve the energy of incoming photons and their time of arrival.
