La-Doped Sm2Zr2O7/PU-Coated Leather Composites with Enhanced Mechanical Properties and Highly Efficient Photocatalytic Performance

Liliang Chen,
Weiguo Li,
Xianbo Hou
et al.

Abstract: Flexible La-doped Sm2Zr2O7/polyurethane (PU) coated leather composites were synthesized using a one-step hydrothermal method, with highly efficient photocatalytic degradation properties by coating the La-doped Sm2Zr2O7/PU emulsion onto the leather and drying it. The phase composition and optical properties of the as-prepared photocatalytic material were systematically characterized. The result revealed that La was doped in Sm2Zr2O7 successfully, and the prepared samples still possessed pyrochlore structure. Th… Show more

“…For the synthesis of polyurethane foams, two main reactants, polyol and isocyanate, are employed, and additives like catalysts, surfactants, antioxidants and fillers are incorporated in order to obtain products with suitable properties for the market demand [ 7 , 8 , 9 , 10 ]. In the case of flexible polyurethane foams, fillers, such as calcium carbonate, are often used to obtain better firmness, resistance to impact, less flammability, less fragility and even a smoother and durable surface [ 11 , 12 ].…”
