“…These investigations have considered the tourists uses of water (Gil Olcina, 1993; Gil & Rico, 2007; Hernández, 2006; Massa‐Sánchez, Arteaga‐Marín, Viñán‐Merecí, & Martínez‐Fernández, 2018) and their consumption (García, García González, 2004; Morote, 2016; Rico, 2007; Torres & Vera‐Rebollo, 1999). In a similar vein to the English literature, analyses have explored a range of water management techniques mainly focused on larger hotels (Gabarda Mallorquí, Ribas Palom, & Daunis‐i‐Estadella, 2015; Barriga, 2017; Rodríguez & Gelabert, 2006; Vera Rebollo, 2006), including water‐saving practices and innovative management methods (Escalera Izquierdo, Pérez Zabaleta, & Vizcaíno Pérez, 2014; Gómez & Tejeida, 2008; Olcina, Saurí, & Vera‐Rebollo, 2016).
