Landscape Design Standards for Lighting Established by Landscape Plans Prescribed in the Landscape Act

Abstract: The Landscape Act was established in Japan in 2004, and many local, government-settled landscape plans were prescribed in it. This act aims to enhance the "attractiveness of urban area" as well as the "attractiveness of landscape". When promoting the charm of landscapes and urban areas at night, lighting and illuminance play very important roles.
