Landslide susceptibility mapping by combining the three methods Fuzzy Logic, Frequency Ratio and Analytical Hierarchy Process in Dozain basin

Abstract: ABSTRACT:Landslides are among the most important natural hazards that lead to modification of the environment. Therefore, studying of this phenomenon is so important in many areas. Because of the climate conditions, geologic, and geomorphologic characteristics of the region, the purpose of this study was landslide hazard assessment using Fuzzy Logic, frequency ratio and Analytical Hierarchy Process method in Dozein basin, Iran. At first, landslides occurred in Dozein basin were identified using aerial photos a… Show more

“…The above-mentioned studies contribute significantly and safely to comprising and removing the complication of the complex Problems by Combining the hierarchical algorithm with the fuzzification algorithm (Saaty 1989;Zadeh 1978). A lot of researchers have applied these algorithms to estimate the flash flood risk and detected that the FAHP help to get the most reliable results (Hategekimana et al 2018;Motevalli and Vafakhah 2016;Papaioannou, Vasiliades, and Loukas 2015;Tazik et al 2014;Yang, Ding, and Hou 2013).…”

“…Precipitation: Elevation is used as a factor for frequent climatization for landslide susceptibility analyses . If we are to speak generally, they affect elevation, precipitation/snow (Koukis and Ziourkas, 1991;Nagarajan, 2000;Gökçeoğlu and Ercanoğlu, 2001;Görcelioğlu, 2003;Tangestani, 2004;Görüm, 2006;Rozos et al, 2008;2011;Yüksel, 2007;Hasekioğulları, 2011;Tazik et al, 2014;Yang et al, 2015;Dölek and Avcı, 2016a, b, c;Balamurugan et al, 2016;Chen et al, 2017). Climate conditions, however, do have potential influence over slope stability (Kavzoğlu et al, 2014;Meng et al, 2015;Wang et al, 2016).…”

“…2. The fundamental scale by T. L. Saaty[10,11].Various authors[14,15,16,17,18,19] have used AHP for giving weights to various factors of landslide occurrence. The effect of each factor and factor classes, on landslide occurrence, is determined using pairwise comparison, and an equation is modelled for landside susceptible index (LSI), as given below in equation 9 = landslide conditioning factor such as slope, aspect, lithology, etc.…”
