Abstract:This study delves into the language preferences, attitudes, and choices of Henan province industrial migrants in Shizuishan City, China. Shizuishan City embraces Mandarin as the dominant language but also accommodates other languages, including the Henan dialect spoken by migrant workers. The workers show a strong attachment to their native Henan dialect, using it with pride when discussing their hometown or communicating with fellow Henan natives.
