Background: Learning difficulties also known as the learning disabilities are the conditions that impact on an individual's ability to gain knowledge and skills. The common problem faced by dental students is learning subjects and doing practicals. Though many studies have been done on learning disabilities, this study gives detailed information on the problems faced by dental students. The main aim of this study is to create awareness on the difficulties faced by the dental students in learning the subjects and in doing practicals. An online survey was conducted among dental students to evaluate the learning difficulties. The study population are the 1st year dental students with a sample size of 100. 10 questions were circulated to the participants through an online survey link. Later the datas was analysed and made into pie charts. From this study, when asked about learning difficulties, the majority of the result shows that they have difficulty in learning that is nearly 75% and the rest felt easier. Nearly half of the students who feel difficulty in learning are trying to overcome their difficulty. From this survey, it was evident that most of the students have difficulty in learning dentistry. This study creates awareness among the students about the benefits and importance of overcoming the difficulty in learning.

Learning the grammar, particularly tenses of English language may be difficult or confusing to many second or foreign language learners whose mother tongue does not have a complex grammar system, such as Malay Language. This raises problems in constructing grammatically correct sentences; both in spoken and written work. Hence, there is a need to find means that would be easy and fun to help children learn the grammar of English. This paper presents and discusses a quasi-experimental study that aimed to test the effectiveness of an innovative module developed and named "Son, Mummy and the-ing cat" to aid students in constructing correct present continuous sentences. It integrates elements of storytelling, puppetry, role-play and word cards as an in-class intervention activity. 58 Year Six (age 12) pupils experienced using the module for 13 days and their writing performance was assessed in the pre-and post-tests of their sentence-production. Findings of the paired samples t-test show a difference of means between the two tests. The students constructed more and higher instances of correct present continuous tense sentences after the use of the module. This further implies that learning a concept, although complex and confusing as the English grammar, can be enhanced with creative teaching aids.

Teachers' beliefs have a greater role than the teachers' knowledge of planning lessons. Despite their significant role in teaching and learning, studies of teachers' beliefs in Indonesian EFL setting are still rare that this paper is to reveal teachers' beliefs as facilitators in effective English language teaching and learning. The participants in this qualitative study, two teachers and five students were interviewed. The data were then transcribed, interpreted, and coded, and categorized by applying thematic data analysis. Regarding the questions of what beliefs teachers hold, the finding shows that the teachers have very well beliefs that they want to become good facilitators for their students in learning English. In relation with the extent of facilitating the students in gaining knowledge, the finding shows that the teachers use mix and match, collaboration between teacher and teacher, team games tournament, three-phase technique, scientific approach and discovery learning. To conclude, the formation of teacher beliefs will have a substantial effect on language teaching and learning process and will bring about an upgrade in students' language abilities. This research is expected to provide information to teachers regarding their beliefs as facilitators.
