LaNi0.5Ti0.5O3/CoFe2O4-based sensor for sensitive determination of paracetamol

Abstract: A novel electrochemical sensor based on LaNi 0.5-Ti 0.5 O 3 /CoFe 2 O 4 nanoparticle-modified electrode (LNT-CFO/GCE) for sensitive determination of paracetamol (PAR) was presented. Experimental conditions such as the concentration of LNT-CFO, pH value, and applied potential were investigated. Under the optimum conditions, the electrochemical performances of LNT-CFO/GCE have been researched on the oxidation of PAR. The electrochemical behaviors of PAR on LNT-CFO/GCE were investigated by cyclic voltammetry. The… Show more

“…When used appropriately, the side effects are rare but overdoses of AC can cause liver and kidney damage and possibly mortality [33]. Consequently, the determination of AC alone and/or in mixtures is important to control not only the quality of pharmaceutical formulations but also their amount in biological fluids (blood and urine) [34][35][36]. Tryptophan (TRP) is one of the 20 essential amino acids for the human body and an important constituent of protein biosynthesis of living organisms [31,37].…”

“…Although there is some evidence showing no propensity to be addictive by ingesting AC, overdose of AC will lead to toxic metabolite accumulation which may induce morbidity and mortality in humans [25,26]. L-Tryptophan (L-Trp) is one of the twenty essential amino acids for the human body and a vital constituent of protein biosynthesis of living organisms.…”

“…Acetaminophen (AC), dopamine (DA), and tyrosine (TY) are physiologically important compounds, each of which plays a vital role in a number of biological processes. AC (N-acetyl-p-aminophenol or paracetamol) is popularly used as an antipyretic and analgesic drug [12][13][14][15][16][17]. Though it is safe up to a certain limited dose, its overdose and chronic use may lead to severe liver and kidney problems [18][19][20], blood dyscrasias, and pancreatitis [21].…”
