Laparoscopic left colic artery preserving sigmoidectomy for diverticulitis in a patient with urinary tract malformation ‐ a video vignette

Abstract

CORRESPONDENCEinferior mesenteric artery and the left colic artery were preserved, as well as the retroperitoneal structures, and the sigmoid resection was performed with a linear stapler. Adequate vascularization of the colic and rectal stumps was assessed by near-infrared fluorescence imaging with indocyanine green. Thus, an end-to-end Knight-Griffen colorectal anastomosis with circular stapler was performed.The postoperative period was uneventful and the patient was discharged on the fourth postoperative day.
