Large area, rapid, and protein-harmless protein–plasma-polymerized-ethylene coating with aerosol-assisted remote atmospheric-pressure plasma deposition
Abstract:Our goal is to establish a remote-plasma-based aerosol-assisted atmospheric-pressure plasma deposition (RAAPD) system for depositing protein–plasma-polymerized-ethylene coatings. The method of RAAPD is using plasma to polymerize ethylene and add protein aerosol at downstream region to coat protein–plasma-polymerized-ethylene on substrate. We investigated effects of different mixing, mesh, deposition distance, gas flow, voltage, and frequency. Results showed that downstream-mixing method reduced heat effects on… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
