Abstract:A 47-year-old woman underwent thoracoplasty for tuberculosis on the right apex of the lung. A heavily scarred area remained asymptomatic. Both the long interval after surgery and the histology of the tumor are unusual.
A 64-year-old man developed non-Hodgkin's lymphomaof the chest wall, 37 yr after left plombage thoracoplasty. Late complications of plombage thoracoplasty are discussed as well as the pathogenesis of chest wall neoplasms.
