Abstract:When a varactor frequency upconverter is used as the output device in a communications transmitter, it is often desirable to operate at maximum power output. For such operation, the design procedure includes a large‐signal analysis under overdriven conditions, requiring the use of a computer for solution.
Equations for the instantaneous varactor charge, current, and voltage are derived assuming that only three currents are present: those corresponding to the signal, pump, and output frequencies. Numerical solu… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
