“…We found relationships between marine mammal occurrence and water depth, consistent with previous studies indicating spatial segregation across bathymetric domains (for example, Whitehead and others 2010; Jefferson and others 2015; Lomac-MacNair and others 2022). Nearly all cetacean sighting rates were higher in slope waters beyond the relatively narrow inner (0 to 100 m) and outer (100 to 200 m) continental shelf waters of the project area.…”
